What will occur within the permanent easement?
During construction the permanent easement will be cleared of trees, shrubs, structures, debris, etc. In undeveloped/non-maintained areas (woods) stumps outside of the trench excavation may be left flush with the existing ground. The interceptor will be placed within the permanent easement, therefore excavation will occur within this area. • What will occur within the temporary easement? During construction the temporary easement may be cleared of trees and shrubs. Where possible, the temporary easement will not be cleared of larger trees. It may be used for access and storing of pipe, manholes, materials, equipment, and soil during construction. • Will there be any above ground structures placed in the permanent easement? The tops of manholes are typically located two feet above finished grade in Mecklenburg County. For maintained lawn areas, manholes can be provided flush with grade. Some manholes will have vent pipes that will extend up to the approximate level of the 100-year flood
