What will occur if only the orifices are changed to convert a gas grill ?
A. While the heat value of the grill will stay the same, the big issue is that the range of heat control is almost non-existent. This is because the channel size in the valves are different for each fuel. Changing the fuel used on a grill must only be done by using the appropriate conversion kit, which included values, orifices and conversion label for the rating plate. Failure to change the valves will most assuredly result in a customer complaint regarding the lack of heat control.
