What will my salary, benefits and working conditions be as a newly hired school board Early Childhood Educator?
As a member of OSSTF/FEESO, you will be part of a Bargaining Unit which will negotiate with the local school board to determine your salary, benefits, working conditions, different types of leaves and job security; all of which will be included in a collective agreement that is ratified by all members of your bargaining unit. OSSTF/FEESO has experienced provincial staff that has extensive knowledge in bargaining and contract maintenance to assist each individual bargaining unit address local concerns before, during and after negotiations with the employer. OSSTF/FEESO successfully completed negotiations with the Government of Ontario on June 24, 2010, to secure funding to increase salaries for Early Childhood Educators in Ontario school boards.
