What will it mean to our customers gas bills from October 2008 and April 2009?
At present the non-energy charges on your bill are made up of a unit rate in pence per kWh (which previously covered the commodity element) and a daily charge, which covered the capacity charges as well as the metering costs and our commission. From October (or April for an April renewal customer) the daily charge element will rise, while the unit rate charge will fall. We can help you calculate the pence per therm equivalent rate of these charges to smooth the transition to the new structure.
