What will iROX accomplish?
iROX will provide immediate relief to southwest Florida travelers and commuters. The project adds one northbound lane and one southbound lane to a 30-mile stretch of I-75 from Golden Gate Parkway in Collier County to Colonial Boulevard (SR 884) in Lee County. The I-75/Immokalee Road (CR 846) interchange in Collier County also will be reconstructed. How much does iROX cost? The project cost is $430.5 million. The design/build/finance (DBF) team, ACCI/API, could earn $15 million in bonuses for completing the work early. The incentive offered by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is $100,000 for each day finished ahead of schedule (up to five months). iROX management and inspection services amount to $24 million, bringing the total to $469.5 million.
