MarinCARES recipients who were awarded a stipend at any Track must complete a Professional Development Plan with their advisor which will dictate how many academic units of coursework must be completed. Corps members must take the general education placement tests and develop an education plan at the institution of higher education of their choice. Corps members in Tracks II-IV must apply for a Child Development Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing before applying to remain in the MarinCARES Corps. If the Child Development Permit has not been received before the next MarinCARES application is due, a copy of the Child Development Permit application and proof of mailing of the permit application can be submitted with the MarinCARES application as documentation that the applicant has met this requirement.
