What will happen to visitor parking?
By the completion of the Project, the two surface parking lots will be devoted entirely to visitor parking (only one is now), and we have already “recaptured” formerly leased parking spaces in the garage (near the West Wing). In addition, when the Building Project is completed, Museum Road will become a two-way street, with parking on both sides, and Forsyth Way will be slightly narrowed to allow for more green space between the east end of the new American Wing and the sidewalk.
