What will happen to the fire equipment, e.g., trucks, ladders, ambulances?

The equipment used by the Mariemont Fire Department, and owned by the taxpayers, will be transferred to the LMFR for little or no cost. We view this as a waste of public assets. The MFD estimates that this equipment is worth $2 million. The Village disputes this amount and contends, based on its insured value, that it is worth $1 million. The ladder truck will remain in Mariemont because LMFR does not have a building large enough for it.
