What will happen to the existing bicycle/walking path along the Mt. Rose Highway at the I-580 Interchange?

The new and existing interchange ramps will be modified to better accommodate non-motorized traffic than currently exists. Through a collaborative effort with the Federal Highway Administration, NDOT, the Washoe County Regional Transportation Comission, and the local area neighborhood association, a new configuration was developed to provide improved bicycle/pedestrian access and safety through the Mt. Rose Interchange. Additionally, a new bicycle lane will be provided at the connection of US 395 and Bowers Mansion Road.
