What will happen to the CFG resources after glue grant funding ends?
The CFG’s Glue Grant ends August 31, 2011. As current funding winds down over the next two years, there is a growing consensus that plans should be developed to continue the CFG beyond the current timeline for funding. The circumstances for each core facility are different, since some produce resources that need to be preserved or continued – ‘evergreened’ – and some provide services. The SC has adopted a goal of a default plan to evergreen key resources on an at-cost basis, and defining the minimum level of resources required to keep the website and databases active.
