What will happen to Service Unit bank accounts and how will regional accounts be set up?
A checking account will be set up for each region. The Regional Director will have oversight of the funds and will be one of the signers on the account. The other signer on the account is the Regional Treasurer (volunteer) who will be a member of the Administration Committee. The primary use of the funds from this account will be for girl events and activities. The Regional Director will work with the Regional Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) Program Committee to ensure that funds are properly used and that all prior event/activity commitments are fulfilled. All current service unit bank accounts will be closed and the funds from those accounts will be put into the appropriate regional account.
