Any contributions since the plans inception in 2005 have been placed in a Voluntary Employee Benefits Account (VEBA). If the total balance in that account is less than $5,000, you may use it to be reimbursed for qualified medical expenses such as COBRA payments, prescriptions, deductibles, co-insurance, etc. beginning immediately after your separation date. Or you may choose to leave the funds in this account indefinitely. (Fidelity and Emeriti record-keeping fees will continue post-employment, and any dividends will continue as well).
