What will happen to funds currently in the county child welfare account?
It appears that 12-15 counties will have a budget deficit; all of the other counties have a surplus. Any surplus dollars remaining after all program services and placements provided in 2008 and timely billed have been paid must go into an Excess Levy Fund referred to in HEA 1001 to be applied only to additional property tax relief within the same county.
