What will happen to batman movies if the franchise stops making money?
Regardless of whether or not there are contracts in place, if the Batman films ceased to be profitable, Hollywood would probably stop producing them. The films are extremely expensive to make, they cause major disruption in the towns they are shooting in, and the actors come at a very high cost. The new series with Christian Bale has been very good, but if they failed to turn a profit, production would stop.
