What will happen if they lose both their antenna? Does it mean they won’t be able to smell or feel anything?

The insect would not be completely blind as it has eyes and sensors in other places too, but it would be like you losing your hands – you can still feel things through your skin but it is not as easy or as sensitive. It would put the insect at a big disadvantage, esp. when it came to avoiding being eaten.
