What will happen if i end up some how miraculously getting caught owning an exotic animal in california?
If you get caught owning an animal that is illegal to keep you either have to find a legal place to take it like a wildlife rescue or sanctuary or humanley euthinize it. My neighbors rescued a baby racoon and nursed it back to health, then they tried to get it vaccinated, and the state got envolved saying that they carry dieseases that cannot be cured, but if they are vaccinated then they cannot catch the diesease, so idk what was up with that… Plus for exotic animals, you have to be approved by the state to own them, and certified. Like a sanctuary or zoo….
