What will happen at the weekend workshop?
The weekend workshops are 12 hours in duration and typically run from 9 am on Saturday morning and conclude Sunday at noon, although some are only on Saturday. The workshop will reflect the knowledge portion of the module, but will focus on practice and skill-based activities. You should expect to have pre-workshop homework and assignments for Saturday evening. Skills to be developed include: • Defining appropriate outcomes • Demonstrating necessary assessment skills • Formulating a pharmaceutical care plan • Providing counseling to patients and care-givers • Providing consultations to health professionals A drug-use evaluation will be required before graduation (see here for specific instructions).
