Upon arriving, each patient and parent will be seen by the staff and doctor who will welcome you to our office and prepare for the initial exam. We will take the necessary photographs and X-rays to allow us to make a proper diagnosis. The doctor will then complete a brief, but thorough, exam. See Your First Visit at the beginning of the Treatment section of this website.

Upon arriving at Denta-joy office each patient and parent will be greeted and asked to fill out a patient information paper that includes some personal information and a brief medical history. Dr. Chevangkul will conduct a brief but thorough examination of the patient’s mouth to determine if there is a need for orthodontic treatment. He will be looking to determine if there is enough room to hold all of your teeth, if the top teeth are lined up correctly with the bottom teeth, if any teeth are crooked or not growing in the right position, and if there are missing or extra teeth. He will also be asking the patient if they are experiencing any breathing problems, if they have had any finger or tongue habits, and if they have experienced any jaw joint problems.

Upon arriving, each patient (and parent) will be greeted by one of our team members, usually Tracey. She will walk you through the office, introduce you to the staff and Dr. Felli, seat you in an exam chair and ask you a few questions. Dr. Felli will then examine the patient, make some notes, explain what his findings are and happily answer any questions. Tracey will then happily answer any questions that you were afraid or too embarrased to ask the doctor and review fees and payment options. You will leave with a written statement of Dr. Felli’s findings. There is no charge for this first appointment. To read more about your first visit, see our First Visit Page.

At the initial appointment, Dr. Krishnan will examine you or your child and determine the need for treatment. There is no charge for the examination. If you are ready for treatment, the next step would be to take diagnostic records, which include two digital X-rays, photographs of the face and teeth and impressions. If you so desire, the records may be done at this appointment and there would be a charge for that procedure.
