What will happen at Speakers Corner?
The King Street Streetscape Reconstruction project will include Speakers Corner. The corner will be reshaped with a contemporary look that adds additional seating, increased space for events along with the installation of a public art piece and trees that have adequate soil quality, proper irrigation and drainage. The design elements of the streetscape; wider sidewalks, sustainable planters, pedestrian-friendly environment and movable bollards will also be used in the redesign of Speakers Corner.
