What will Diversity Institute participants learn?
Students will participate in an intensive program introducing them to all aspects of print journalism reporting, writing, editing, visual journalism, media ethics, and the history of journalism. The approach is hands-on; participants will work actively at their craft, attend lectures, do assigned reading, etc. Diversity Institute faculty will be experienced journalists who also are outstanding teachers. Institute graduates will be prepared for a number of newsroom jobs.
