What will become of hard copy reserves?
OHSU Libraries’ Reserves will continue to keep hard copy reserves in addition to ERes. Some users are more comfortable with using paper copies. There may be rare times when the ERes server is temporarily down and access to course materials is not available. Back to the top I know copyright is an issue. Who is responsible for making sure my electronic reserves comply with copyright law? The use of phtocopies of journal articles, book chapters, etc. is governed by the “Fair Use” provisions of the U.S. Copyright Law. The library will assume that faculty members who submit photocopied items for reserve use have prepared copied within the terms of Fair Use.
