What will be the timescale and order in which staff will transfer to the new authorities?
All front line staff, their direct managers and clerical support will transfer to their new councils on the 1st April 2009. Other staff recruitment will largely be completed by 1st April 2009 and those officers will similarly transfer. There may be a few limited jobs where details have to be settled and in these cases the final arrangements will be settled in the first six to nine months of the new councils.
