A. There will be no immediate impact to the users of the classifications as a result of the new arrangements. Implementation of the 7th edition of ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS began on 1 July 2010 and it will continue to be used until 30 June 2013. Version 6.0 of the AR-DRG will also be used until 1 July 2013. The 8th edition of ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS and version 7.0 of AR-DRG are planned for national implementation from 1 July 2013.
