What will be the effect on the performance when executing queries?
The time taken to run some reports may be slower than the previous version of Discoverer. This issue has been raised during testing and will be monitored once the reports are being run in the live environment. This is due to the change in the End User Layer to Oracle views from Noetix. The previous views were heavily customised and therefore ‘tuned’ to meet specific needs. On the downside fields that were moved or changed as part of CUFS upgrades were lost from the views and therefore some reports no longer worked. The new Oracle views will need to be tuned over the next few months and this will be monitored during the transition period.
