What will be the available times of swimming lessons?
With increased water space available at DG One, Leisure and Sport will be able to offer an increased range of swimming lessons. Our intention is to offer more than 60 lessons per week at various times. Lessons times from the previous Dumfries Swimming Pool facility have been taken into consideration when creating the plan, however it is not possible to operate all classes at the same time as the previous programme. This is primarily due to the fact that a large majority of classes will operate within the training pool with the moveable floor. With more than one class operating at the same time, the depth will increase as your child progresses through the Rainbow Swim Scheme and aid with transition to the main pool, therefore we have required to re-structure the programme accordingly. Classes will operate mainly Monday – Saturday but we will be continually assessing demand to ensure we can meet customer need.
