What will be the application process if I want to get 2010 FIFA World Cup tickets through USSF? How does it work?
FIFA maintains complete control over the ticketing process. We expect FIFA to release details on the ticketing process sometime in the fall of 2009, at which time USSF will share this information. If the process for the 2010 FIFA World Cup is similar to the process for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, as we expect, USSF ticket purchasers will be given an opportunity to purchase first round tickets, as well as the opportunity to purchase “conditional’ tickets for subsequent rounds if the U.S. team advances. Purchasers of these “conditional” tickets will be required to pay the full amount for all tickets (first round and conditional) up front, and then may receive a refund for conditional tickets if the U.S. team does not advance. All ticket purchasers are required to provide detailed information about the identities of the person using each ticket. Per FIFA’s requirements, persons using the tickets may be required to show identification when entering the stadium.
