Every FPRM participant receives a fellowship of Rs. 14,000/- per month till they clear the Comprehensive Qualifying Examination and then Rs. 16,000/- per month and a contingency grant of Rs. 20,000/- per year for a period of 4 years. The fellowship and contingency grants are assured for four years; in deserving cases and subject to availability of funds they may be extended for the fifth year.
