What will be done to help the environment in Roseland?
Besides the green building requirements (click here for more) and our innovative approach to stormwater management (click here for more), Roseland will look for every opportunity to reduce the environmental footprint of development while creating an amazing place for us to work, live and play. Recycling programs will be a standard part for homes and businesses in Roseland, not optional. Trash removal will be more sensitive to the close proximity of homes to companies. Regular sweeping of streets, during construction and beyond, will reduce the pollutants that often accompany storm events. The best example of our approach to environmental stewardship, however, is on our design approach to the community. We stay away from areas that are sensitive to the health of the ecosystems. We reduce as much as possible how and where we cross streams, and when we do, we consider the natural paths of wildlife, so that those paths can be preserved.
