What will be done to address the needs of the regional road system?
The Region of Durham recently completed a Transportation Master Plan to address transportation needs in Durham over the next 20 years. This document will consider improvements to east-west and north-south routes to serve existing and anticipated traffic patterns associated with planned development in the Region. It also considers roadway needs with and without the construction of Highway 407. Further requests for information regarding Durham’s future plans for its road infrastructure should be addressed to the Region’s Works Department.
