What will be different for deer and turkey hunters?
Hunters will print e-Permits on their home printers using regular printer paper. Therefore, they will need to protect the paper permits from becoming unreadable. The Department suggests placing the permits in plastic sandwich bags or protecting the permits in some manner and attaching protected permits to harvested game with wire, twine or tape. Instructions for use will be on the printed permit sheets. Deer and turkey permits will be redesigned to have months and days of the month printed around the edges. Hunters will notch the month and day as part of recording their harvested deer. Deer and turkey permits will no longer have the adhesive strip traditionally attached to harvested deer and turkey as a transportation tag. The Department suggests attaching bagged permits to harvested game with wire, twine or tape. Instructions for use will be on the printed permit sheet.
