What will be covered in the new Junior Seminar in Cognitive Science?

By popular demand, we are excited to be offering a new Junior Seminar in Cognitive Science! This is being offered for the first time in the Spring 2009 semester, taught by Professor Stephen Anderson (a former Chair of the Cognitive Science program). We strongly encourage all Junior majors to take this seminar. It will be an excellent opportunity to study the foundations of your field, and also to gain experience interacting with each other in a close-knit seminar setting. (And for once, you will have first priority in terms of getting into the seminar!) The contents of the seminar will be set largely by your interests. Here is some additional information from Professor Anderson: Since this will be the first year this has been offered, a lot of details remain to be worked out. The point of the course is to read a variety of works on “classical” topics in Cognitive Science, from a variety of disciplines, and discuss them together.
