My best friend Stacey and I both turned 50 that year. Her birthday is 6 months before mine. I wanted something that would be special to both of us. I went to a neighborhood jewelry store and looked through a catalogue. I found two very nice sterling silver bangle bracelets (we both love silver). I had them engraved on the inside with the word “FRIENDS” and the symbol for infinity. Then I designed a card to fit inside the box. It had this sentiment printed in the middle. “True friendship lasts a life time. You and I are half way there” Now we live in different states. Stacey was not allowed to open the gift until I called her on her birthday. I could hear in her voice how much she liked it. When she found out I had the same bracelet, it made it even more special.
