What will appear on the May 3, 2005 ballot?
On May 3, 2005, voters will be asked to approve $32.65 million bond issue for additions and remodeling to District facilities, including the construction of a new Performing Arts Auditorium at the high school, new restrooms, concession area, entrance way, and parking at the athletic complex, replacement of the sod field with synthetic turf, a Communication Arts Center, technology upgrades and various other remodeling projects at the elementary schools and middle school to improve safety, security, and educational opportunities for our children. Voters will also be asked to approve two non-homestead operating millage proposals (labeled “Proposal 1” and “Proposal 2) The non-homestead millage is levied only on industrial and commercial property and rental homes and is not levied on primary residences (owner-occupied homes). The non-homestead millage will have no affect on property taxes of homeowners. (Refer to question #27 for specific Ballot language.
