What will a provider collect if I am a Blue Card® member and see a BlueCard network provider out of state?
The amount you are charged for services outside of North Carolina will vary by provider. Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans in other states set their own policies and contracts with providers in other states. Therefore, it is important to ask the provider about payment policies before scheduling an appointment or procedure outside the state.
