What will a full-scale implementation of SEM require at LME?
An Enrichment Specialist, a professional educator trained in the areas of learning style preferences, project-based learning, and research-based best teaching practices, is necessary tocoordinate and implement the model schoolwide. An Enrichment Team comprised of Laurel Mountain teachers will assist in the implementation of the Schoolwide Enrichment Model in all classrooms. This team will require training at the University of Connecticut, where the Schoolwide Enrichment Model was developed. This training is a form of continuing education and will be an annual occurrence. As with any type of improvement, additional resource materials will be required. This number will vary depending on specific needs.
