What/Who is the animal rights movement?
People join the animal rights backgrounds from all sorts of backgrounds and with diverse experiences. We share the common bond that when we realized animals are capable of suffering and therefore we opened our hearts and extended compassion towards these creatures. Once this arrow strikes ones heart, it is no longer possible to be complacent towards the horrendous plight that animals suffer from the industries of cruelty that pervade human society. The animal rights movement has many enemies. There are those who have a financial interest in the perpetuation and growth of the industries of cruelties. Corporations have poured millions of dollars into “public” interest groups whose sole purpose is to demonize animal rights organizations such as PETA and to muddle the issues.
