In ancient times, people were very superstitious, performing absurd rituals for the blessings of the Gods and always worried about evil spirits such as witches, sorcerers and ghosts seeking revenge. Women were not allowed to do… basically anything. Slaves were morally OK. And anyone who wasn’t a Greek was a “Barbarian” which was something less than human. 3.) Warfare was glorious.
