What were the main succusses of the Article of Confederation?
Well the Articles of Confederation had many goals: -put a public face on the nation -unite the states under one union -provide for the common welfare -regulate trade and commerce between foreign countries -control taxes and tariffs -protect the people’s natural rights to life, liberty and property However, as you may or may not know, the Articles of Confederation were not very successful in many of their original goals. Under the Articles, the national government did not have enough power to enforce laws, taxes, or rights. Therefore, they were eventually abolished and replaced with what we have today, our Constitution. On the other hand, the Articles of Confederation had some very significant successes.
