What were the gifts of Saint John the Baptist?
Few prophets rank with John the baptist. Amoung other things his ministry was foretold by Isaiah (Isa. 40:3) Gabriel came down from the courts on high to announce his birth (Luke 1:5-44). He was the last administrator to hold the keys and authority under the Mosaic dispensation.His mission was to prepare the way, baptze, and acclaim the devine Sonship of Christ. John was the only legal administrator in the affairs of the kingdom there was on earth, and holding the keys of power. He was ordained to this holy calling at the age of eight years.
