What were the differences between Christian crusaders and Spanish Conquistadors?

The Crusaders were motivated by religion; recapture Jerusalem and the Holy Land from the Muslims. The Pope offered indulgences, forgiveness of sin, for those who fought. The Conquistadors were interested only in profit, for themselves and the Spanish crown. There were a few priests along to baptize the natives, but that was by far a secondary purpose. Both wanted to capture territory and used a great deal of force in doing so, but for entirely different reasons.
