What were the best kids cartoons of the 80s and early 90s?
Portand bill was cool, transformers (robots in disguise), button moon, the mr men, moomins, banana splits, michael bentines potty time, ivor the engine, willow the wisp, mr benn, gideon, hartley hair and pipkins, magic roundabout, jamie and the magic torch, wind in the willows, why dont you, the flumps, cockle shell bay, jackanory, my litte pony, care bears, black beauty, josie and the pussycats, take hart, saved by the bell, thats when kids tv was cool………….
Animaniacs was my favorite. There are good cartoons on now, though- Emporer’s New Groove, Bratz, Proud Family, Kenny the Shark, Tutenstein, the Cramp Twins, The Batman, Coconut Fred’s Fruit Salad Island. And those are on regular tv (don’t have cable). I am 28 but I love my Saturday-morning cartoons.
I also loved Dogtanion – especially the theme tune!! I guess Scoobie Doo was sort of end of the 70’s/beginning of the 80’s but I used to enjoy those cartoons (until Scrappy Doo came along and spoilt it all!) I used to enjoy the programmes like: Bagpuss, The Magic Roundabout, Rubarb & Custard, Mr Benn, The Mr Men and if you can remember a little bit further back – Mary, Mungo and Midge! Boy, that’s brought back a few memories for me!
