That would actually depend on what war you’re talking about. I’ll assume you mean World War II and tell you the major advances in just my lifetime….When I was little in the 1960’s, you had to look for a payphone to call someone if you needed to talk to them away from home. Cellphones are a major advance. Also, if you wanted to know a fact or info on something you actually had to go to a library and look it up in an encyclopedia (big heavy book) or ask a librarian to help you find out what you wanted to know. The personal computer and the internet did away with the big heavy books and gives you a world of info instantly. Also, if you wanted to type something, you used a typewriter and liquid paper. PC’s did away with that. Post war only a few people had big, clunky black and white TV’s and most still listened to the radio as their major form of entertainment.
