What were Simon Bolivar’s political ideas and what revolution inspired him?
Simon Bolivar defeated the Spanish conquerors and declared Venezuela’s independence on July 5 1811. Then after 1821 when the last Spanish forces were driven from Venezuela Simon Bolivar attempted to join together what are today the countries of Colombia Ecuador and Venezuela into one nation: Gran Colombia. Nevertheless Bolivar’s dream did not come. Thank you!
