What were Mercy Otis Warrens interest?
Mercy Otis Warren was interested in literature and the theater. In addition to being an anonymous playwright, she was very politically active. Mrs. Warren was a supporter of the American Revolution, allowed meeting for the Sons of Liberty in her home, and was friends with the likes of Martha Washington and Abigail Adams. Although Mercy had no formal education, she tutored her brothers for college entrance.
