There were many highlights and memorable moments for fans and supporters of country music. As a native Nashvillian, it was a great experience being a part of the CMA Red Carpet event at the Sommet Center. There were paparazzi shots being taken left and right, video footage, contest winners, and journalists like myself all joined together to celebrate country music artists like: Taylor Swift, Winona and Naomi Judd, Martina McBride, Braid Paisely, George Strait and Darius Rucker and other celebrities like Robin Roberts and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. There was much representation from the fans ranging from young to old generations. A young boy held a white sign saying, “Sign my guitar please”, many had posters and Sharpies waiting to get signatures from their favorite artists.
