Severe Weather Pounds the Region: Tornado warnings in Brazos and Burleson Counties Monday evening had residents on high alert and looking to the skies. Numerous sightings of funnel clouds were reported by News 3 viewers throughout the evening in the College Station area, most notably near Southwest Parkway, Highway 6 and Harvey Road. Brazos County went under a tornado warning at 6:58 p.m., one that was originally set to expire at 7:45 p.m., but was later extended to 8:15 p.m. as a storm cell slowly moved southeast, at one point stalling over the city. Burleson County had a separate warning issued at 7:08 p.m. that covered much of the central portions of the county. As of Monday night, there had not been any confirmed reports of tornadoes in Burleson County, though some wind damage has been noted.
