the corpuscular theory assumed that light travels in form of corpuscals i.e particles … this theory was disrerarded as ir couldnot explain the wave phenomenon of light like interference , diffraction etc … the new theory was proposed by Huygene according to which light behaved both as a wave and as well as particle depending on the experiment under observation ….
