What was with the Christmas Earth Defense Demo?
The Earth Defense Demo released on Christmas Day of 2007 should not be considered part of the current Earth Defense continuity. The Demo was seen by most of the Hard Light Productions community as a sub-standard mod of unremarkable quality. This is because it was released as soon as it was completed in a futile attempt to get it out on Christmas. This was a last-minute decision that was not thought through, and as such the mod was neither tested or even fully completed. This premature release of the mod is considered one of the largest blunders of Earth Defense. Rest assured that the newer Earth Defense releases will be of a much higher quality than that early release.
