What was the true first chinese dynasty?
The first dynasty of the Chinese empire was the Qin dynasty from 221 BC- 206 BC. The first emperor, Qin Shihuang Di united the kingdoms of China to form what we know of as China. Before the Qin dynasty, there were three other “dynasties,” the Xia, the Shang and the Zhou, but their rulers did not truly unify the country. They were “the first among equals,” getting tribute from other tribes in the area but not really controlling them.
