What was the technical impetus behind the creation of Kirlian Aura?
It is generally accepted that the high water mark of the music industry was achieved in the mid to late 1970s. By the 1980s, album sales (for the most part) were caught in a dizzying downward spiral threatening the eco-industrial infrastructure of the recording industry in general. Through a series of corporate mergers, hostile takeovers, consolidations, and intellectual property acquisitions, the industry attempted to reinvent itself. Stockholders increasingly demanded artists attached to the labels they represented consistently produce top ten singles on a recurring basis. Radio stations were forced to acquiesce to demands from the record company executives in the austere promotion of material that was ill-conceived, poorly written, and severely lacking in substance. Kirlian Aura attempts to obviate these inefficiencies via reconstruction of the kindred creative spirit that was prevalent during the music industrys intellectual apogee.
